Hagsatera brachycolumna
This is an incredible species from the outer mountain range of the Pacific slope found in the states of Guerrero, Michoacan and Jalisco. It grows in oaks and remember the climate of the west coast is very dry for at least 6 months. The flowers are very waxy and the colors are spectacular in the lip with the contrasting green tepals which really make the lip stand out. The plants may reach 3-4 feet long as the psuedobulbs are borne on a creeping, mostly rootless near the tip, rhizome.
